Think happy thoughts

Art and Nursing

I chose this image because when I look at the heartbeat I think of numerous things; I think of saving lives, vital signs, living, and the art of understanding. Being able to understand an ECG and notice when someone is having a heart condition is a huge part of the medical field. Moreover, the image of a heartbeat shows life in an individual and when the heart beat is abnormal it resembles needing a fix and saving someones life.

I love the image you chose! It really expresses both the medical and personal aspect of nursing. Viewing the heart beat as a way to asses a patients health and to represent life is a great tool to use as motivation throughout your career!

I love the image you chose for this post. I think it really captures the portrayal of a nurse. In fact, I’ve seen a lot of nurses and health care workers have this tattoo on themselves. On another note when I see this picture, I imagine the heart it takes to become a nurse. This image shows the heart beating perfectly, our hearts as nurses beat for our patients which allows us to provide the best care possible.

I like the choice in picture and how it can depict so many different situations in health care. A heartbeat is artistic as it is the sign of life, and so much can be determined from an irregular heartbeat. I think this is a very good picture for nursing, as we are mainly the ones who are in control of stabilizing and helping that person with saving their life.
