I think that this process really helped my editing skills. At first I was beyond stressed out, because of the first paper I wrote. I was relieved when we started doing more editing in class, and when I used my books for outside help. The books really seemed to help me, along with the peer-editing. The only thing I still need to work on would probably be framing my sentences better, and fixing any small grammar problems I might have.

When going back and editing my paper, I first would often read my paper out loud to see the minor errors when I spoke. Next, I would have someone else read it besides the two from my peer-edit group to get more of an outside help, because they wouldn’t have any background information on what I am talking about. With that process I can see if my thoughts make sense. Furthermore, I took notes in class on how to write properly, and fix sentence fragments. Which is often something that I forget about when writing. Lastly, I used my two books with the guidelines as my final resource. There I was able to see how to properly cite in text, and use new words to incorporate into my writing.
